"After a While"
After a while you learn
the subtle difference between
holding a hand and chaining a soul
and you learn
that love doesn't mean leaning
and company doesn't always mean security.
And you begin to learn
that kisses aren't contracts
and presents aren't promises
and you begin to accept your defeats
with your head up and your eyes ahead
with the grace of woman, not the grief of a child
and you learn
to build all your roads on today
because tomorrow's ground is
too uncertain for plans
and futures have a way of falling down
in mid-flight.
After a while you learn
that even sunshine burns
if you get too much
so you plant your own garden
and decorate your own soul
instead of waiting for someone
to bring you flowers.
And you learn that you really can endure
you really are strong
you really do have worth
and you learn
and you learn
with every goodbye, you learn...

7月28日 forget?
FORGET ???
forget??
I can only hope I will never forget again the lessons of my Heart's teaching, that to lay aside the bleeding pen of my now and again rush to trust leaves only deeply grieving, with no quick way of leaving the memories of another careless unjust which seems to gather no dust just the edgy ripping of another heart of gold dripping breath by breath that only leads to more deserts of pain reloaded with Alone again.

Follow the trails of your
heart,
laid down in the distance
of some long ago,
where you continue
from start to end and start again.
Follow the trails of your heart
Though the Way be broken
and the trials you would not go,
are where you were given That unexpected token.
Upon which is written Your every Life's part,
no Truth concealed from the Soul of One who feels.
Follow the trails of your
heart
with new colors streaming
enchanting strength to heal new Being.
Wear your courage without fear
keeping True a Promise, albeit unclear.
Follow the trails of your heart
Though the trials bend your path
and spill with tears your Vision back.
desperate for the sight of love you seek; you are beckoned into some darkened Star Way deep.
You feel limp and mumbley, A shattering mass of pooling
glass, Pulling your WAY to Some lonelier fed desolate
bay.
Follow on, with tears
streaming and fears daunting
the immeasurable joys of all the years
and heartbreaks of ‘begin again’
(Can you remember how many
there have been?) That the Light has brought
you here again? Haunted by an unknown coming,
some further Far-off drumming, never heard in this sphere
of clay.
Somehow I found your trailing red feet, Cut deep and hard With razor sharp grief.
Now rest in silence beneath
Orion’s Keep While we breathe to linger
this fragile peace.
It's never too late to learn
the mystic's song,
A song in which we all belong, none left out,
No judgment rendered; our Soul content And duly surrendered. To move among the peopled
trouble That is the chance we take to break free From the heavy hung stone around our neck. We enter the storied Dreams born by neglect.
where Ideals lead the way forgiving any right or wrong simply know that we belong
even as the fires consume our melting place, we continue the trails, even, or most especially when we fail it is in the failing trails that we may catch a Vision new, as flames alone reveal the Truth of me alongside you. Crushing the withered leaves within our hand we let go the old ways, Knowing that in the somewhere of our days we will, with thankful hearts, understand.

yesterday,
i lay dying hoping death would carry me far away.
but then my friend called and asked how was i today?
i could not speak for the tears were spilling all over my words
and the breath needed to give them sound choked in my throat and tightly bound
until i could say nothing, but she heard it anyway
so today i am yet alive and question how or why
did i come to have the love of one good friend ?
who reached across the distance and through her voice, held my hand
comforted me with words that had wings making me see the sweeter, kinder things
and, yet another friend, whom i had called (because i knew she'd understand it all) responded with " i'll be there soon"
and as i lay back upon my soaked pillow i knew a Grace was yet upon my heart
in my Soul and not a thing apart and while i do not know the reason why
i let that rest for another time when the Grace within knows the time is best
until then, i'll live today each measured breath, just a---way for the time when Grace will come and gently lift me from where I lay.

there is a place...where dreams come truewhere the sky is always bluewhere someone is always waiting for youwhere laughter is heard and all sadness is gonewhere everyone has a friend so no one is alone againwhere the more you give away, the more you haveand the better you feelwhere all life is more precious than color coated stones,or dirty old pieces of paper with numbers not realwhere people tell stories that last longer than you dowhere others always show respect and kindness toowhere no one lies so gladly that what they say hurts you badlywhere human beings are, like your favorite pet, always trueand aren't afraid of covering you with loving, wet kisses, and when you are gone, is soo sad for you are what it misseswhere everyone has plenty to eat, a solid hand to hold,a nice warm shelter when it gets cold, andwhere you are loved all so much more as you get oldwhere finding the best of anything is not an impossible thingand you don't have to go far,'cause right there in the mirror, is where you are.where everyday is filled with music and wonder;and dancing in the rain lights up the rainbows that fill up the sky-- so the biggest pots of goldare the ones shining brightly in your eye.there is a place for you and you and, you, too
and to live there, you must care enough to sacrifice what you love best and watch it multiply, in all the rest.
there is a place waiting on you... where you will hear the hummingbird sing; as the Grace she bears in full, pours purely from her chipped cup... carried beneath her broken wing.
(and in case you wondered, that is why she sings)

Pearls of Wisdom
"Fourteen Things That It Took Me Over 50 Years To Learn" by Dave Barry
- Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.
- If you had to identify, in one word, the reason why the human race
has not achieved, and never will achieve, its full potential, that word
would be "meetings."
- There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness."
- People who want to share their religious views with you almost never want you to share yours with them.
- You should not confuse your career with your life.
- Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance.
- Never lick a steak knife.
- The most destructive force in the universe is gossip.
- You will never find anybody who can give you a clear and compelling reason why we observe daylight savings time.
- You should never say anything to a woman that even remotely
suggests that you think she's pregnant unless you can see an actual
baby emerging from her at that moment.
- There comes a time when you should stop expecting other people to make a big deal about your birthday. That time is age eleven.
- The one thing that unites all human beings, regardless of age,
gender, religion, economic status or ethnic background, is that, deep
down inside, we ALL believe that we are above-average drivers.
- A person who is nice to you, but rude to the waiter, is not a nice
person. (This is very important. Pay attention. It never fails.)
- Your friends love you anyway.
Thought for the day: Never be afraid to try something new. Remember
that a lone amateur built the Ark. A large group of professionals built
the Titanic.

The State of Tennessee has taken a bold stand against “Real ID“.
It is great to see that there is some backbone left and with the
courage of each individual state to make stands for freedom then there
breeds hope of a future without barbed wire. You can read the following
about Tenn:
NASHVILLE - The American Civil Liberties Union of
Tennessee (ACLU-TN) today praised the Tennessee General Assembly for
their bipartisan rejection of the REAL ID Act, which
would require all Tennesseans to give up sensitive personal information
which would be stored in a national database, to pay higher licensing
fees, and to stand in long lines at the Department of Motor Vehicles.
The joint resolution (SJR248) criticizes the federal law’s unfunded
mandate and its threats to privacy, security, and the Tennessee
Constitution.“Implementation of REAL ID would crush
our privacy rights, drown the state in red tape, and make all of us
less safe,” said ACLU-TN Executive Director Hedy Weinberg.
Nationwide there is a growing rebellion against REAL ID. Tennessee becomes the 16th state to pass legislation opposing the Act. Passed in 2005, the REAL ID Act
requires the states to produce standardized driver’s licenses and to
store the drivers’ personal information in nationally connected
databases – creating a de facto national ID card. By placing this
information in one central nationwide database, REAL ID makes the
information more vulnerable to identity theft and misuse.
The law requires states to begin issuing these licenses by December
31, 2009, but it did not set aside enough funds to make it possible. In
Tennessee, the initial estimate for implementing REAL ID is more than
$100 million dollars.
Calling the program a national ID, the State Legislature rejects REAL ID
because it violates the rights and liberties of Tennesseans guaranteed
under the constitutions of the State of Tennessee and the United
States. SJR248 urges the Tennessee Congressional delegation to support
measures to repeal the REAL ID Act, and states that “there be no implementation of the REAL ID Act until full funding is provided by the Federal Government.”
“Our legislature has taken a bold and admirable step by rejecting
REAL ID. They recognize the very real threat to our privacy rights and
they did the right thing by opposing implementation of REAL ID,”
Weinberg said.
